Therapy dog training--Extremely mellow golden doodle

I have two goldendoodnes and our puppy (1year old) is extremely mellow, and sweet. I'm thinking about getting her trained to be a therapy dog. Has anyone done this? Where to start?

I suggest your typical dog training and socialization with a variety of other dogs and people. Get the Canine Good Citizenship certification then seek out an organization that does pet therapy work, such as PAL (People, Animals, Love) and go to their orientation/testing. Once you have passed that and done a few supervised test visits, you can sign-up for any of the many visits then do in Maryland, DC, or Virginia at schools, nursing homes, hospitals, libraries, etc.
