20+ years ago when I was skinny and we were both young and the X Files was fairly popular people would come up and ask me if I was David Duchovny.

It happened enough that I made a fake FBI badge to play along with it.

We've actually aged in a pretty similar manner but my doppelganger isn't much better known than I am at this point.

When I was much younger (about 20) I got Julia Louise Dreyfus and Andie MacDowell. This was back in the mid-late 90s when Seinfeld was in it's prime and movies like "Groundhog Day" was recent. Even though both actresses were a lot older than me, and I didn't look old for my age, people told me I looked a lot like them.

Now, I am in my early 40s and I'm never mistaken for a celebrity.

In my pale blonde, preppy early 20s, I got Reese Witherspoon. Otherwise, I've always been teenage Claire Danes.

I've gotten Gillian Anderson the most. Back when she was acting, I sometimes got Annette O'Toole (anyone remember her?).

When I was a kid people called me Gidget because I looked like Sally Fields character from that 1960s show. Through years I've been told I resemble Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Hillary Swank and Jennifer Garner.
