Come in if your ES kid is starting a new school for AAP on Mon.

How are you feeling? Even tho I think we made the "right" decision for our kid (no local level IV), I'm a little nervous about a school change! It involves new things like a bus for the first time, etc. and we are coming from a relatively small ES so I wonder if DC will know anyone in class, etc. DC seems to be fine / looking forward to it.

My DD is starting 3rd grade AAP at Mosby Woods. I am a little apprehensive about the change in routine, and DD is anxious about the new school, not knowing where everything is, and of course has tremendous social anxiety about making new friends. I have tried to tell her that there will be kids she already knows, but she is one big ball of anxiety. I am looking forward to getting the first day over with so that she can see it’s not such a big change from her old school.

I'm super anxious but I think 8yo DS seems just fine. A few of his friends from our local elementary will also be going to the AAP center. I know he will do great. It's bittersweet. my baby is growing up.

My DD is incredibly nervous, and I'm a little worried for her but I think she will make the transition and it will be a good experience. If not, we'll go back to home school for local level iv.

My dd's new (AAP center) school did a combined open house/back to school night and everything about it was just terrible. The school was very different from our base school.
I hope it was just a bad first impression.
