Why did it take the ambulance 2 hours to take Princess Diana to the hospital?

Really fishy! Why would they do that? The hospital was supposed to be a 10 minute ride!

Wtf? This isn't true! Maybe it took that long to get her out of the totaled car (cut her out) but it takes 10 min to get to the American hospital from Pont de l'Alma, especially in the middle of the night.

Different delivery system or emergency care model in France. Ambulances provide much more comprehensive care than here.

There was much discussion on this at the time and this is the answer.

Is this discussion preventing her from resting in peace?

I think we have to just let it go at this point. Like Pac, and Biggie, Kurt Cobain, MJ, etc we will never know the true circumstances. Extreme fame kills sometimes, that we know.

Why are we suddenly rehashing all of this 20 years later? The only people who have standing to keep beating this horse if they so choose, IMO, are Princes William and Harry. Possibly Earl Spencer. Everyone else needs to let it go.

+1. This is the case through much of Europe, focusing on actual treatment and stabilization in the field rather than wasting time with an ambulance trip before the real treatment can start.

OP, if you're just asking this now, then I suggest that you need a better, faster news source.

This is my understanding. They did not know that she had a severed aorta.

Another argument for seatbelts. The only belted occupant survived.
