Any recommendations for a long weekend - beach trip?

We would love to be able to drive and not spend to much money so we thought that long weekend sometime in September would be doable. We have 14 month old so something simple and clean would be nice.

Not spending too much money is relative to your family's financial situation, so it's hard to know what you are looking for. But, there are lots of options for inexpensive beach vacations within driving distance. Two that we love are Ocean City and Rehoboth. With the economy in the toilet, I had great luck getting rooms at reasonable prices using online searches. One thing to think about when you choose your hotel is whether you want a swimming pool. In September, you might be close to needing an indoor one if that is important to you.
