Which brand/model do I buy for outdoor artificial turf? I'm hoping to internet shop rather than head to Modell's.
TIA! |
If you are in DC and you don't need them until September, I think some of the Boys and Girls clubs run a cleat exchange every year before the season. You can get a pair for $1 or something very small. It is a great deal and the kids really grow out of these shoes long before they've even put a dent in the useful life of the shoes. |
| I don't think you differentiate between artificial and natural turf at least not until much later. I have 2 kids in travel soccer programs and they just wear the same shoes for both (cleats) however they also have "flats" or sambas too for indoors and occasional use on artificial turf. Comfort is the main thing i would look for so ordering online will be tough. We have many battles with uncomfortable shoes, socks, and shin guards - especially 2 minutes before we need to leave for a game! |

Another travel parent:
It doesn't matter which turf - at least not with kids on public fields. I would not order on line - at least not before going to a store and trying some on. They make some really crappy cleats for kids, and you don't want those. Comfort and good arch support really matters. And 22:49 is right: It takes a good long time to get the socks, shin guards and cleats on. |

Thanks, everyone.
