Anyone done MoCo Movement camp this summer? News re Dov's departure?

Anonymous
I am thinking about sending my kid because our family plans have changed due to an illness.

Anyone able to comment on how it is going this year?

I heard that Dov may have left or be leaving - is that true? Has that impacted the camp?

We do OT there, so I can't comment on the camp, but it is true that Dov has left. He's running a consulting business with his wife, about how to make companies more inclusive for adults with disabilities.

How about making businesses more organized?

So what does this mean for MoCo movement? I have always heard good things for him but also about the disorganization. I can't deal with providers who don't have their sh*t together. Who will be running the place now? We are in the market for a new OT who sees patients on Saturdays.

The front desk has gotten a lot more organized recently. And our experience with the providers has been excellent.

We haven't seen any problems at MoCo Movement since Dov left.

Well, it's been what--a few weeks?

I believe Andrea is running MocoMovt. In my view she's organized, responsive, on top of her field and a pleasure to deal with -- an all-around professional.

Yes, Andrea is running MoCo and my understanding is that they have hired additional administrative help. We have not done camp there but go to MoCo for OT and PT and I have been always been impressed with Andrea and know that she is highly respected by other local professionals with whom we have collaborated. Andrea ran a PT business prior to collaborating with Dov, and I am sure she is more than capable of running MoCo, especially with the additional support staff. You might want to ask if you can observe one day to see what you think about their camp.

Our experience with Andrea was she was pushing unnecessary PT on us insisting our insurance would cover it when they would not (this was at Dynamite when they were new and looking for clients) and we did motion education under LISS. I thought they jointly owned it. I guess not.
