Another ICE Shooting in Minnesota

Literally killed for exercising his 1st and 2nd amendment rights (and did NOT ever brandish the gun!)

Uh, this guy still got killed, and his gun was used to justify it.

No question that Hegseth will eventually give orders that, if followed, will lead to uniformed military firing upon and killing civilian Americans; the only question is, when those orders are given, will they be followed?

If you do not own a gun get one and learn how to use it now. Yes now.

If you think Dictator Don will not change the gun laws in this country you are insane. Dictators do not let subjects keep their guns!!

Who cares about basketball when Americans are being murdered in the streets.

at some point, I would hope professional and college athletes would boycott playing until this is over. Imagine not having a super bowl because of trump's thugs.

Most athletes are too entitled, and as for the Super Bowl - that ain't happening. The US public would turn vehemently against anyone trying to stop their show. Nope, and besides, the Super Bowl is billions of dollars in revenue.

How long can people tolerate not shooting at ICE back. How is anyone okay with this!!!

Do you remember the MOVE bombing in Philadelphia? Have you read about the Tulsa massacre? How about the violence against the Black community in DC in 1919. Some of us have both personal and generational experience with systematic violence against ourselves and our communities. We know that however satisfying “shooting at ICE back” might be momentarily — the onslaught of approved violence by the cops, by the military, and by whatever forces people like Trump, Hegseth and Miller command will be huge, and will impact vulnerable people in vulnerable communities for generations.

So it’s not about being “okay with this”. It’s about hunkering down and doing the best that we can to protect ourselves and our communities from the current version of the KKK. Now would be a great time for people from less vulnerable communities to exercise their first and second amendment rights and help protect more vulnerable communities from the home grown terrorists who are being paid for by our tax dollars. I understand that this is already happening in some areas to some extent, and I applaud those citizens for taking risks to protect their neighbors.

I see a lot of questions like yours PP, and my question to you is: What are you personally doing —and risking — yourself to help? What are you “tolerating” — to use your word — while others are risking their lives just by walking down the street or driving their cars?

Wish I could tell I am trying to protect vulnerable people. I am a legal brown immigrant citizen who is shit scared for two adult children, one who has serious mental health issues and in and out of hospital a lot and the other is in serious depression debating me to buy a gun to protect himself if he is stopped by the ICE goons. I am losing my mind and wish I had never left my birth country scared in the middle of violent riot! I am praying day and night that my kids stay safe. Every execution in another part of the state is giving me nightmare!

They exemplify the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats help even those who hurt them, who are opposed to them, whom they have reason to loathe.

The GOP just walk away. The ICE agents would have let their fellow agent die.

Shame on you if you are a Republican. You are part of this, and you are despicable.

As a gun owner who wanted more restrictions, my daughter survived VT's shooting.

If you do not own one get one and learn how to use it.

Dictator Trump & sycophants are never going to hold an election in 2026.

God help this country.

And my DH survived an armed robbery during which he was shot and almost died. We still don't believe that guns are the answer.

In the latest Minneapolis case, the victim was BLAMED for having a gun on him, even though it's an open carry state and he had a permit and every right to have a weapon in his possession.

Guns are rarely the answer.

And then trump came along and flipped it all upside down. Using the federal govt to reach and control everything. And now using gun ownership to justify murder by federal agents. WTF is going on? I am hearing more democrats now mention supporting small govt and gun ownership. Are Republicans replaying 4D chess?

Trump isn’t a real conservative. I think we might be seeing some severe party shifts similar to the southern strategy. We indeed are living in upside down land.

A few conservatives are certainly starting to question things.

The gun rights people might start to catch on. The Admin shouldn’t have lied about this one.

There was a little bit of pushback in the RW sphere with Good, but I think this one is really going to take off. It checks too many boxes.

He was an ICU nurse for the VA. I am an RN. Every nursing social media account I follow is blowing up in anger over this. Mark my words, nurses will be marching nationally over this murder. He was HELPING other people before they attacked him!

ICE better build their owns hospitals. I have a feeling they will be refused treatment.

A national nurses strike would be a great start.

Yes.

Schumer whipped the Senate so they aren’t finding ICE.

I’m so tired of these Democrat “leaders.” All they do is blame, deflect, point fingers. WE ELECTED YOU TO LEAD. Stand up for the citizens of this country! Do your job!

The whole “but but but Republicans are worse” is getting old. Yeah Republicans are evil but that doesn’t absolve you. You are spineless, greedy pigs. All of you.

Please say specifically what you want them to do.

Being armed is not a crime, and certainly not justification for summary execution.

Suspect also had 2 magazines for the handgun.

Summary execution for exercising your scond amndment rights.

Wonder what the penalty will be in November for voting the wrong way.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the NRA gets upset and starts to speak out about killing someone just for having a gun?

I saw a second amendment organization post something about being “concerned” about the event.

They're taking their cue from Susan Collins.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this. As a mother, I would be very concerned about having 1) a brown son in this country, especially 2) one who has serious mental health issues. If he's having a breakdown, don't call the police. I have seen too many cases where the police open fire on someone who is having a mental health episode or appears "off."
