It’s not about destroying his lived experiences. It’s about their honest feelings that they are superior to this man, and therefore they can simply dismiss his lived experiences. He doesn’t count in their minds

Actually we are just amazed at the stupidly of writing a song about rich men north of Richmond while at the same time supporting Trump who is himself a rich man north of Richmond and who is openly scamming and conning all of the rubes. It’s sad but there doesn’t seem to be any way of reaching these people.

Always. Always bring up Trump on this thread. Why? It's as if many of you are fixated on the man. Just because you don't agree with someone does not mean the other person is a Trump supporter or the "dreaded MAGA" name-calling.

GOP = Trump supporter

They're one and the same at this point.

Hey, uninformed DCUMer........

Oliver Anthony has never claimed to be a Trump supporter. In fact, he has said he is middle of the road when it comes to politics.
Learn something before you spew your ignorance.

Conservatives lie all the time though, especially about Trump support. Why would we take Anthony at his word?

And liberals never lie?! FACT: Politics is ugly, regardless of the party.

Sure, but lying specifically about Trump
Support is a hobby of the GOP. Look at Cruz, the “never Trumpers” etc. Someone with truth to their claims to be “right down the middle” doesn’t write a song villianizing people on food stamps— that’s the act of a Trumper.

He’s the front runner for the nomination and the GOP failed to impeach him in ‘21. GOP is now the party of trump and believing otherwise is deluding yourself.

Trump / Ramaswamy ticket with this song playing in the background, is probably what’s gonna happen for the GOP. 🤪🍺

The latest poll (out of Iowa) says that it is true.
Trump 61%, DeSantis 16%, Ramaswamy 7%

Really? Then please educate us on what exactly the GOP is today when the leading candidate, by far, Trump? It certainly is not the party it was pre-Trump. So what is it then?

You can pretend you're a conservative but "not MAGA" but when you get in that booth, you're going to vote for Trump.

PP here. You are wrong. I'm not conservative on issues pertaining to financial and educational opportunities for at risk groups of kids at all, and I don't vote for Trump. I'm definitely more conservative than many of you when it comes to finances and some lifestyles.

DP. So where is your political home? We have a two-party system and the choice of candidates is what it is. How do you think you will vote in the next presidential election if it's a Trump vs. Biden showdown?

So you vote for the GOP but have not voted for Trump - is that what you're saying?

PP here. I'm praying it's neither of them, but if those are the choices, then Biden.
