My poor mother was in the end stage of Alzheimer's Disease when I had the most poignant and powerful dream about her. She and my father, who passed away 12 years ago, were just standing there smiling and waving to me. They looked so happy! I woke up and was sure my mother was dead. She wasn't but died two weeks later.

| Yes, it does happen. There is no time on the other side. |
| NO |

Yes. I was in the same sort of a situation when my husband was in an irresistible coma. I felt he was gone very strongly while his body hung on.
You got a lovely message from your parents, OP. |
| It may have been your father's soul letting you know that all is well. Such a precious thing. |
| Yes, this is lovely. |
| Your mother left her body and confused mind before her heart stopped. She said goodbye to you. |
| Wow I traded up reading this. |
| Teared* |
| For short periods of time. If your instance, I would have no doubt that your mom and dad were together. I don't think the soul permanently leaves until death (or brain death). |
| I have seen a certain look in a person's eyes just before they died.... Something that made me feel like they were already partly not here on this earth. I saw it in my brother's eyes the day before he died, and I saw the same look in our church pastor's eyes a few days before he died. When I saw that look, I told my husband that he would be gone within a few days, because I had seen that look before, and he was. I saw the same look in my mother-in-law's eyes, but I couldn't tell my husband that. I can't describe the look, but it's there. |
| Healing peace to you OP |
There is no way to know something like this. |
| If their is no conciousness when the brain is merely under general anesthesia how could there be any thought after the brain is dead? |
Yes, actually, there is. The Bible is very clear about this. |
