Dance technique classes

Are there any local studios (preferably in VA) that offer some technique only classes in ballet or Jazz? My 11 year old daughter could really use some brushing up on her ballet technique, and I feel that the second half of the year in her studio is a wash because they are primarily rehearsing for the recital. I haven't had any luck locating studios that offer straight technique classes.
