With a 3 yo and grandparents.
Can anyone recommend places to eat, go, play and some things to do there? That is besides the beach, of course
Thank you. |

We just went to Bethany all last week.
There's a great playground at the main Bethany intersection (at the Totem Pole). We took our almost 3 yo to the Thunder Lagoon waterpark in Fenwick, 5 miles south. He loved it especially the Lazy River. Two big slides for adults. We also drove to good old Funland in Rehoboth. He loved it and amazingly the ride tickets are still 30 CENTS each! His favorite toddler ride was ONE ticket. Have fun |
| There is a mini-golf place near the park. My kids like Grotto Pizza and Cottage Cafe near Sea Colony. For a nice place, we like Bluecoast and Sedona. And Candy Kitchen, of course. |
| We just got back. I second Cottage Cafe. The blackened scallops were out of this world. We also did House of Welsh and that was just so-so. Fenwick Crab House is really good for seafood. Mangos is pretty decent. My 2.5 year old just LOVES that playground. He could stay for hours. |

We went a few weeks ago.
The Bethany playground is great. There is an arcade in Bethany too, but Funland in Rehoboth is better. Cottage Cafe has great food. We enjoyed playing tennis at Sea Colony while the grandparents watched the kids. |

OP here: thank you, all. Great tips.
I hope we get lucky with the weather, I checked, it suppose to cool down and rain next Wednesday. |
| Bethany Blues is a must for us along with Dickies Frozen custard. Band concerts on the Boardwalk on Friday night are a hoot! |

My 3 yo liked the pool near the fitness center - it is nice sized and not the typical toddler pools that they have around the facility.
Also - we got snow cones at the store in the lower level of the largest highrise. |

If you are staying on the oceanfront, you MUST go get the sprinkled donuts at the shop in Edgewater every morning. They are my kids favorite thing ever.
Also, my kids liked to take the shuttle over to the fitness center pool (NOT the aquatic center pool) one day. Its different than the oceanfront pools and has a snack bar, plus an indoor pool. And the shuttle was highly fun for the kids. |

OP here: got back a few days ago. Thank you very much for all your recommendations. Stayed @ Brandywine highrise, oceanfront.
Great time. Will do it again next year. |
