i have thick frizzy hair that i blow out once a week usually. always used drug store hair dryers. thinking i should buy a better one. intrigued by the dyson hype about cutting blow dry time but no idea if it's true.....

I hsve it, and I think I even msde a thread about how much I love it. I blowdry every day, so it was worth every penny. My routine is that I flip my hair upside-down and blowdry it willy nilly until dry, then style waves with a curling iron. It cut my drying time from 12 mins to 4 mins, mainly because the force of air is stronger. It comes with diffuser and concentrator attachments, but I don't use them, so I can't speak to that. But two thumbs up from me!

I have it and I seriously debated returning it (it was my 40th birthday gift). The force of the air is so strong that my hair winds up blown into tangles and knots unless I use the concentrator attachment. It definitely cuts drying time, but not so significantly that I can really justify the price. I have very thick, course, wavy hair that I blow dry and flat iron to make it smooth, and I still feel like my hair takes a lot of effort.

That said, the Dyson is worlds ahead of that Conair flat iron-hair dryer combo thing that gets raved about on this board. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to dry my roots with that. I also like to pull half of my hair up and pin it to the top of my head while I dry the underneath layers -- I can get that to work with the combo tool. But then when I let the top layers down, it is maddening to try to get them dry.

There are better, more powerful hairdryers out there. But if you like the dyson brand it’s not bad, although it is overpriced.

Overpriced and made my hair feel like straw.

I had major sticker shock for a $200 hairdryer (Drybar) that I dont use. I'll sell it to you cheap. I use the Revlon one that was discussed on this site.

My hairdresser has it - it sure looks cool but I don't think it was any better than my $200 T-3

Ugh. I seriously can't stand that revlon dryer. It's 400 lbs, can't dry the roots and fried my hair. Oh, and it's loud AF. I have no clue who is pushing this thing on here but no way it's actually ppl who own it.

I am dying to get the dyson- I stupidly bought the drybar drier when my sedu broke and I hate it. I'm really hoping it gets stocked/discounted at Costco soon!
