I am thinking of enrolling my DS in one of Coach Doug's classes this fall. Has anyone ever had a child in one of his classes? I am looking for something VERY low-key and no-pressure to my son. He is three and this would be his first sports class. I don't want a coach (or other parent) berating my kid if he is picking the flowers and misses the ball. I just want him to go out, have fun, learn about some sports options, and see what interests him.

| I think your son will like it. Coach Doug is lots of fun -- not competitive at all. At ages 2 and 3, my daughter liked it a lot. |

Same here. 3 yo, now 4 yo son loved it. Absolutely no pressure at all. In fact, it is more play based than actually sports focused at this age.
You should also ask whether Coach Doug will actually be there himself, and if so, whether there will be multiple classes at the same time that he will have to go back and forth with. Also need to ask whether they mix age groups. The class we attended was pretty limited to my son's age, but have done other classes with other organizations that mix ages too much, despite assuring me that was not the case. A 3 YO is too young to be in a class with 6-8 YOs. |
OP here - Thanks. I enrolled him. It looks like it'll be 2-5 year olds and at 3.5 he'll be smack in the middle. Now does anyone want to join us at 9:30 on Saturdays this fall??

| That 2-5 year old range proved problematic - too many different levels of development - and we didn't have a good experience in the Coach Doug class. And Coach Doug didn't seem particularly patient. Good luck picking those flowers! |

Now that you are securely enrolled, tell us what it is! |
