Tinder

Does anyone actually have a successful story from Tinder or is it all about the hook-up?

I'm a 50 yo female and am looking for someone my age or older. I've met several men off of tinder, several dates with some but it seems they all have a story. Separated for years, married saying they're divorced, or they're just looking for sex. And some of these men are in their late 50s- thought they'd be over the game by then!

I know two marriages resulting from Tinder. Neither couple ever tells people how they really met. They seem happy, but I'd say there was an underlying sense of urgency by all parties to "find someone"...maybe not perfect matches. Time will tell.

Aren't they basically the same?

39yo man with two long-term relationships from tinder, including my current one.

I do feel like the oldest one at the party sometimes, so no idea how it works for those a decade older.

I met my husband on tinder - am younger than you but in mid 30s; husband was in his late 30s. Married with a kid and one on the way now!

You need to try something like Match.com instead. Tinder is for younger people interested in casual sex, from what I have personally experienced...

And yet the posts above yours say something different. OP you just have to jump in and see. Maybe, for you, it will work as it did for PPs. Or maybe you not and you move on to something else.

Woah, how long has Tinder been around, to give way to 2 consecutive long-term relationships, or a marriage and 2 kids? Time flies.

Op here- there are actually a good amount of men in their late 40s - upper 60s. But they seem to want just sex too....perhaps it's just the com,on three regardless of age!?

Try OkCupid. I have found they're the best for us "older" people". I never used Tinder but I tried Bumble- it was okay but it was the same people for months.

Met my fiance on Tinder 3 years ago, but I am 26. So there is hope but I am not sure how it is different at older ages!

I'm a bridesmaid for the wedding of a couple that met on tinder.

I think tinder can work for finding a serious relationship but it is primarily a hookup app.

Met wife on Tinder. Wasn't expecting to meet a wife on Tinder and certainly wasn't what I was looking for. Success stories are possible

The wold needs hook-up apps, too.
