Does my 10 year old son need to wear a cup for lacrosse camp

I assume so.....? Should he just wear it to camp?

Yes I'm clueless...

Anyone? The camp specified equipment but didn't include that....
Anonymous

Surprised . . . that was the kind of thing that was checked first when I was a kid.

Anyway, he can always put the cup into the shorts/jockstrap when he arrives if that's more comfortable.

I assume you're a mom. YES, those balls are hard and they zip! If you plan on having grandchildren one day then make him wear it, if you prefer the chipmunk kids voice he has, then let him wing it.

Absolutely. Otherwise one errant ball and he will never play again.

He could also end up with two errant balls.

Lol yes, I am a mom, and my husband never played sports.

I sent him with it. No idea if the other kids had them or not.

Thanks!

Yes!! My son likes the ones that have a removable plastic cup so he can take it out when practice is done. Go to Dicks (hahaha) and ask a guy that works there. Umm, to make it more awkward, they come in cup sizes, so you'll need to figure that out. A more room is better than not enough.

It only comes in L or XL. LOL.

To find out of he needs it, hit him there if he doesn't react enroll him in cheer leading camp and if he does get the compression shorts with a cup as they are much more comfortable.

Dick's is clearly the place to go for a cup.

Google Yadi Molina OP.

Yes, boys older than 5 or 6 should always wear cups when playing a sport where a ball or stick might hit them in their privates.
