We've all probably seen the discussions this week.
So much back and forth about mommy shaming vs pointing out safety issues. And she's presumably very aware now, doesn't need anyone else continuing to press her on this. But, can I just say one thing? Who was taking the photo? If this is just you picture of 'real life,' "hey, we've all been in a tough spot."... then again, who was the person taking the picture? This person should help you instead of document you. |
| I have no idea what you're talking about. |
| Missed it. Reaffirms my love for her. |
| She's intelligent. She made a choice. I can't bring myself to care. I assume her baby's arms are tucked inside. |
|
I agree she should not have been cooking on a stove with an open flame and a baby strapped to her chest. It is dangerous. Also the fact that someone took the picture, leads me to believe that she could have handed the baby to him/her and made whatever she needed to make.
Celebrities and wealthy people do this all the time. Post pictures depicting a typical family scene when there was clearly someone else there getting the shot. |
Who was taking the photo? Her husband, or whomever she asked to take a staged photo for her instagram account. |
|
For anyone else I would not care,. Not my kid not my problem. Also, celebrities aren't chid safety experts. But in this case, I'm kind of glad Pink is taking heat for this because she comes across as so self-righteous to me. Don't really care if that makes me petty. |
| No skin off my back |
But could literally be skin off her baby's back. That is the point. |
| no different than any white trash mother |

When I first saw the headline, leading paragraph, I thought, hey maybe she's just heating up a sauce/making oatmeal/or it's just a mixing bowl on the stove area as opposed to the counter.
Then I saw the photo, it looks like she is actively sauteeing something. Potential splatter, hot steam, etc. especially with the way she is moving the pan. She just needs to know, babies shouldn't be worn while cooking. Like op said, if you're in a tight spot, there's no reasonable way to put the baby in a baby chair or lounger.... we've all had to take risks like that. (I had a poop emergency with my toddler and had to quickly put my newborn in the swing without buckling, just for 3 minutes). But...someone was there. There's an extra set of hands around? You better not be wearing your baby and cooking. |
|
I've done it myself, no judgment from me. At least there are veggies in that pan!
|
| I'm a chef and do this all the time. Not a big deal. Go worry about the starving children in the world. |
Have you done it yourself when there was an extra set of hands able to take care of the baby? Hmm... you absolutely get judgement from me. |
