When I married 12 years ago, I changed my last name outright, legally and socially. I was right out of school, and didn't have much a footprint in the world. Now I am getting divorced, and want to go back to my maiden name, but 1) I have made a name for myself professionally, and 2) I don't want to invite the questioning on social media.
Any tips on the best way to handle this? |

Change it. No one cares but you. My boss just did this a year ago. It was no big deal.
To make sure people can still find you professionally, use Larla (MarriedName) MaidenName on LinkedIn and such. |
+1 I changed over my social media when I moved out of the house. Professionally, folks won't really notice a difference when it's final, except for maybe my email address. |
