cervical mucus and ovulation

I had a lot of cervical mucus on day 13 of my cycle, but did not have sex until 24 hours after noticing the abundance of CM. was I past the point of ovulation since the CM was most abundant on day 13? Or should I have ovulated within the next 24 hours, therefore having sex day 14 (and day 15) would still give me a shot?

I find my cervical mucous is most obvious 2-3 days before ovulation. I think you're still in the window. Though I do think if you have sex right when you have obvious cervical mucous, that's perfect, since it's so sperm friendly.
