What school after Brent Elementary?

This is specific to people in bounds for Brent. Our child did not get into the PK3 or Pk4 at Brent but is guaranteed for Kindergarten. Looking a few years down the road, what school do people go to after Brent? We absolutely do not want him to go to a public middle school in DC but don't want to leave our neighborhood. What schools do kids go to? We are looking at Capitol Hill Day school but wonder if it's to hard to get into for 6th grade as a new student? Prefer to go private and eventually go to a Sidwell or other similar school for HS. Which school do kids go to for middle school that feed into one of the top High schools?

CHDS is extremely competitive for 6th grade entry.
