OK to leave 4th of July decorations up through Labor Day?

Anonymous
I did a red, white and blue theme for my door and windows starting on Memorial Day, actually. I took down the "Happy 4th of July" bunting but would like to leave the flags, stars and stripes, etc up through labor day. I also have rw&b annuals in my flower pots and window planters and I don't want to kill them just because it's after 7/4. Is that alright or tacky?

I'd leave the flowers and take down the other stuff.

why not? unless you have a Draconian HOA

Totally fine - it's very summery. Some people in our neighborhood leave patriotic bunting up on their front porch all summer and I always admire it when I walk by.

I keep a red-white-and-blue wreath on my front door through the summer, switching it out to Fall theme in Sept.

I mean you can technically celebrate America all year round.

Yes! Way more fun than dealing with mother with dementia on life support. We're making the decision tomorrow. You don't know me. Why are you so nasty? Why are you in this thread?

Just as long as you don't still have the Christmas and Easter decor up as well. Otherwise, you're clear to procrastinate - hope you are not my neighbor tho.

I wouldn't consider this procrastinating at all. Red, white, and blue themed decorations are appropriate all summer long. Your things sounds nice, OP!

NO. Sorry to hear this, OP. Ignore the crank.

Yes , I think it’s totally fine leaving up the Memorial Day/fourth of July patriotic decorations up through Labor Day! I know I am!
