Has anyone regretted switching from Montessori to FCPS kindergarten and wished they had stayed longer until elementary?

Go through the archives here and on the preschool thread. This has come up several times.

We're in Maryland, but we stayed at our Montessori for K to complete the three year cycle and we're so glad that we did. Our son really did thrive being the "big kid" in the class and was really excited about some of the things only the third years got to do. His reading and number sense also got firmly cemented in that final year.
We didn't have any problem at all switching to our local public in first grade and he's now heading into 4th grade and happy and doing well.
He has friends who are still at the montessori for elementary and they seem to really like it too, but for my son I think he's doing better in grade school with the structures/incentives in public school.

Yes, but no one ever talks about regrets.

We stayed at Montessori for kindergarten and is t was awesome. Going to FFX for first grade was mediocre and disappointing. Our kid loved that first grade was so easy. We are in a top rated school and really had to lower our expectations. Second grade was a slight improvement.

Stay at Montessori for kindergarten.

Regretted the switch at 1st grade. If I can re-do everything, I will only switch in 3rd grade.
