I dealt with “overwhelming” PPD, twice. Housekeeping was overwhelming. Laundry was overwhelming. Packing my infant up to take him to a doctor appointment was overwhelming.

A sweet elderly church lady gave me lovely advice about the baby clothes and laundry; as you wash and fold these precious tiny items, thank God that you have this baby and say prayers for your newborn as you do the laundry. These days will pass quickly, so try to find the joy in the details. Laundry day became soothing, meditative and relaxing. This didn’t cure my PPD, but helped me reframe tasks.

My baby is now a handsome, sweet college junior who will soon be home for the summer and I still do his laundry - with joy. Labor of love.

Jen needs to reframe her tasks and complaints and find the joy. Is she still Christian?

Big Sis would probably say she's still a Christian but she's way too damaged by the institutional church to actually go to church anymore even though she literally had the privilege of building up a church in her own image once. Not even that is good enough anymore apart from the occasional appearance to preach or go to a Christmas or Easter service. She's probably part of the large number of exvangelicals who've moved from Christianity towards spiritualism mixed with a lot of self-help and therapy.

I just watched her stories and thought it couldn't be as bad as y'all had described...it was even WORSE!! Just how cute she thinks she is, fidgeting with her hair, and the 27 ways to describe stairs. I feel so terrible for Remy.

I haven't watched the video (probably won't be able to watch the whole thing because she's so annoying). Anyway, my daughter would leave her shoes under the kitchen table. And when those shoes were there meant she was at home. I've been an empty nester for several years and would love to see my daughter's shoes and stuff lying around the house.

>>> Absolutely, especially because she began the “tour” by saying, “I didn’t check my house before I started this, so I don’t know what state it is.” What a load of BS. Everything about that was staged.

<<< right - the 5 pairs of shoes are making me bonkers but i didn’t check to see if my house was otherwise presentable - huh??? she makes no sense

If the shoes bother you, Jen, pick them up. It will take you 2 minutes, which is a fraction of that video.
Also can you please explain to me what stairs are? I don’t think I understood.

I feel so sorry for Remy. She has such contempt in her eyes for this girl, who lives at her mom's house, who is like most all other children leaving her shoes around. The disdain and coldness in her eyes made it unfunny and just sad watching it.

oh no! little princess got her feelings hurt? and the queen mommy too? it's not likely that the teacher sent her to end of the line after the first infraction. probably was warned before that happened. learn and move on. surprised you came to dcum to complain (then again, not).

Does anyone in her inner circle advocate for Remy? She is constantly beating this girl down in the most humiliating and public way possible. Will someone step in?

Jen surrounds herself with people who think it’s okay or wouldn’t say anything even if they did see it as wrong.

If someone said something Jen would turn people against that person and that person would find themselves out of any inner circle.

Big Sis has an “inside office” now too guyzzz!

The most Enneagram 3 thing like ever!

Riveting content there Jen.

Jen thinks she's super cute.

Which is really strange given that she's such a try hard hair tugging self soothing weirdo who obviously stages "roommate stranded shoe situations" to show off her just cleaned house and equally try-hard boyfriend's book.

Jen, girl. Please. Just. Please.

I bet Jen hates genuinely cute and unaffected woman IRL. Just absolutely seethes. Privately mostly. But absolutely seethes.

I had initially stopped watching her post after the shoes/stairs tour, but I went back and finished. Remy-shaming aside, it got even worse somehow. The tour of her new indoor office that used to be Remy’s room…😳 I won’t even elaborate on the obvious attempts to keep the camera focused on cleavage and figure, and to pretend like she had not checked the status of her space before filming, as I was mostly disturbed by her discussing all of her awards (who was that particular mention for? Brandon and Tina?) and also how she’s friends with a whole shelf of authors (does it include Dave Hollis’ writings? And where is Jen’s commentary on her BFF’s cocaine habit and related deceptions?!). Then she reminded Remy (clearly that’s who this part was directed at) that Jen pays for the room so Jen gets the room. Interesting. Sad. All of it. The Jen we (thought we) knew 15 years ago would have reminded this current Jen that Jen’s worth (and ours) is in Christ alone. It has zero-zilch-nada to do with career/accolades, a clean home, fun cars, popular friends, expensively pretty looks, sexy sex, or total control over finances. All that is where the world finds and assigns worth. And it is hard to watch anyone drowning in the obsession of it all like Jen has been. Sort of related: Is there any chance she’s used hard drugs, like her former colleague? Or is she just into alcohol and CBD for relaxation? If she’s messed around with anything heavier, it might explain her erratic behavior and complete unawareness of her appearance/actions/words at times. How often does a person otherwise exhibit such a drastic 180 in so many different areas of their life in such a short period of time?
