Do the next years teachers even get to read the report card comments on incoming students?
|
| The comments are for the parents, not for next year's teacher. |
| In FCPS, they just check which pre-written comments they want to include. So meaningless, really. |
| Teachers have told me adding comments is not so user friendly so there are a lot of canned comments. Meaningless. |
| Significant, I think. But that's because the comment referred to my kid as highly intelligent. |
| Absolutely hate the "pre-canned" comments. DD had several on hers but they were all gobble gook Ed speak and really conveyed nothing. |
| Meaningless. The comments in fcps at least are canned - from a giant book of comments. GIANT. My son's teacher made a mistake this year and accidentally wrote the same comment three times. I don't think next year's teachers look at the report card at all. |
Was it the "Have a nice summer" comment? If so that was a glitch in the system. At some point we may refer back to a Progress Report here and there, but for the most part we do not. |
