Where can I purchase Mace or Pepper Spray in MD?

Does anyone know of a store who sells Pepper Spray or Mace in MD (I live in MD). If not MD, what about VA or DC? I would like to purchase some for my sister who is starting college in the fall. I did a search on google and only came up with online retailers. I would prefer to purchase it in the store as I do not know which online retailers may be legitimate.

Or if you have purchased some via the internet, can you please tell me which site you have used?

op, just so you know, most self-defense experts do not recommend the use of mace/pepper spray. it can be used against you and you waste precious time and movements getting it out when you could be using that time/strength to do other things that are more likely to help you out of an attack situation. hth.
