ISO Great Haircut/Color in Arlington

Anonymous
My apologies - I posted this in the wrong forum the first time! I'm looking for a salon to call home, preferably in Arlington. And someone who does great color on dark brown hair. I keep reading about how complimentary toffee/butterscotch/warm caramel hightlights are, etc. and all I get when I get my hair colored is either tar black or reddish, neither of which I enjoy. HELP!

Rovina at Salon Rovina - it is on Lee Highway in Arlington with a yellow awning - near the intersection of Glebe Road. Rovina and her brother were at Hair Gallery in Rosslyn, but now are on their own. She is a great colorist and they are both a lot of fun. Prices are reasonable, but not necessarily inexpensive.

Not the OP, but can you give me an estimate on price for a cut and color? That salon is right near my house, so I might consider switching if the price is less than I pay now for my salon in McLean (about $200 with tip).

I am not the first to post about Rovina but I also go to her. I switched to her earlier this year and just went a few weeks ago for my third visit. I think a hair cut and full high light is about $150? I also have her thread my eyebrows (she is awesome at that) so that is also included in my bill. For new customers she gives a 20% discount. I believe the website is salonrovina.com

While I have never had him do my hair, her brother Royston seems to be very good as well.

I agree that I think it is about $140-$150 for cut and color - I get the highlight type color.

Go to Kavenchy Salon. It's new, modern and amazing. See Sam. He's been doing my hair for years at another salon and just opened his own place. He's a perfectionist. He does my dark color with natural looking highlights and always gets it right. I love him!
Sam's assistant, Amanda, is a sweetheart who gives the best massage while washing your hair. The prices are reasonable and the setting is completely fantastic.
