TTC right before Medical Procedure

Hi, I will ovulate a couple of days before I am set to have an xray and some local anesthesia. I'd like to TTC but are there any risks if I get pregnant? If I am 2 days pregnant and have the xray and anesthesia, will I miscarry or risk birth defects?

I don't know for sure but here is what I can relate. My husband and I were TTC and the month I "took a break," no OPKs, no paying attention to cervical mucus was the month I got pregnant. The reason I was taking a break was that I was scheduled for a colonoscopy on Day 14 of my cycle. The anesthesiologst told me it should have no effect whatsoever. However, 11 weeks later we found out that the baby had anencephaly. I know when we had sex and, at most, I was a day and a half pregnant.

Did the anesthesia cause it? I don't know. Was it the prep I had to do for the colonoscopy? I don't know. Was it just random horrible luck? I don't know.
