Need Pediatric Dermatologist Rec -- please help!

I really need to find a good pediatric dermatologist for my son who has such itchy skin! I posted once before and got 1 recommendation for Dr. Ann Lindgren -- but she has almost a 2 month wait for an appt and I really would like to find someone who can see my soon sooner. Can anyone please help. MD preferred but DC OK too -- VA would be hard...TIA!

Can you call your ped and ask for a recommendation? Our dr gave us one but he was a regular dermatologist. Jay Barnett.

We love Dr. Kim in McLean - he's right off the Beltway, if that helps. He does both adult and pediatric dermatology and is just great with children.

You should ask your pediatrician. We saw Dr. Berg in Germantown & he was good. My son had bad eczema, but we're managing it better now.

I did actually ask my ped and they recommended a cosmetic and dermatology center located on the same floor. I kept asking if they really see peds (the offices are all glass and real fancy -- looks like no child has ever set foot in there) and they said yes -- I went to their website and there was no mention at all of seeing kids (or even handling general dematology).
For the PP's, could you possibly post phone numbers or some other contact info (like a website). Thanks for the recs, I'll give them all a try and see who can see him soonest.
