Arlington -- Henry Elementary?

I saw in another post that aftercare at the school is not an option but what are the local options people use outside of the school aftercare?


The school seems to be excellent though, right?

Yes, excellent school and moving to a brand new building in 2019.

We were at Long Branch (near Henry) and used YMCA for aftercare while on the waitlist for extended day. They have a bus that picks up at the school, seemed to do a good job with homework supervision and fun activities. For my DD who was in K at the time, the smaller group at YMCA was a nice transition to aftercare before going to the larger school program.

This is another delightful aspect to overcrowding... waitlists.

YMCA has an aftercare program. So do some of the private "activities" like a Tae Kwon Do dojo on Columbia Pike.
