| If your senior has graduated, are you still able to get into your school's Naviance scattergrams? I'm able to log in to Naviance, but I have been checking the last few days and no scattergrams show up on the screen although I can see other information. Before calling the school I thought I would check around to see if it is a Naviance issue or specific to my school/student. Thanks |
| They recently redid the set up of Naviance and I had a hard time finding the scattergram. If you can get into the system, you should be able to see the scattergram, but it isn't in the same place as before. |
I'm having this exact same problem. I'm logged into the system and it's showing buttons to hide certain information in scattergram but there's no scattergram chart like there used to be. I thought the system was just down temporarily. |
| Thanks, PPs -- It's helpful to know people from other schools have same issue. Maybe it's a just temporary Naviance problem. Maybe updating from this year's results? |
Updates don't happen until mid to late summer |
| Why do you need to get into Naviance if your kid already graduated? |
| I noticed this too. It seems like there has been some sort of upgrade to the platform? |
|
I emailed our college counselor, who can still see the scattergrams, but I'm seeing what 11:07 did.
Annoying but hopefully temporary |
| It's working now. The've changed it so it can display more data on each point on the graph, eg if an acceptance was RD or ED. |
You can also see the exact GPA & test score for each data point - that's actually kind of helpful |
| Must be school specific. Our (small) school's scatter grams haven't changed. I'm guessing it's a privacy thing because people know exactly who got in for the tippy top colleges. |
Your school controls how much data is exposed. |
No school shows scattergrams for colleges that have such a small amount of data to make people identifiable. |
| But even if 300 people from the school applied to,say, Harvard, if only a few have gotten in over the years, those points on the scattergram are still pretty identifiable. And I would be surprised if any school didn't show a scattergram for Harvard. |
Some do. Especially small schools - otherwise why bother with it. |
