Hello all!
We might have an opportunity to switch our child to Small Savers. Looking through the archives here, it seems like most of the posts are from a few years ago. Does anyone have any recent experience with Small Savers? We are interested in both infant and toddler experiences. Have you felt your child was in a warm and caring environment? Have the staff been flexible in working with you? Any quirks (good or bad) that set this center apart from others (we are currently in a corporate, chain daycare)? Thanks so much in advance for your feedback!!! |
Any luck getting information? What did you end up doing for child care? |
We are very happy with Small Savers. The new space is beautiful! We like the new director a lot. He is really invested in the Montessori program. We really like the primary teachers. |
Thanks for the feedback! I will try reaching out to them again. |
We are also super happy with small savers. The new space is incredible--so much light and a dedicated playground!!! They are warm and loving in the infant room, and provide structure and a true pedagogy as they get older. Very impressed (particularly given the price!). |
We also love small savers! Amazing space, incredibly low teacher turnover. They have been great “partners” with us in the parenting journey. I also love that they have a parent board, which means parents are involved in all major decisions. My only complaints are complaints that I would have of any daycare in downtown DC - namely, limited exposure to parks and trees. But they have a great fully dedicated playground, which does make up for it. All in all, very happy. |
Any new (Covid-era) experience? |
Is this apart of Bright Horizons ?
IMF ? |
No and no. It’s part of the CFPB. It’s a non profit with a parent-run board. Very good management & nice caregivers. Not affiliated with any national chain (eg, Bright Horizons) |
Hi, can anyone share their recent experience at small savers Montessori? |
We have loved our recent experience at Small Savers. The space is bright and clean. The teachers are engaged and loving, and many of them have been there for decades. There is also a very active parent board. The center is located downtown, so for us, the hardest part has been the commute since neither one of us works downtown. Otherwise, for us, it has been ideal. |
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I really appreciate it. I have been looking for a preschool/Montessori for my 4 yearly old son and small savers is currently my top choice. Since I’m not from the area, hearing about your personal experience is quite reassuring. Thanks again! |
