Multiples and acceptances @ private schools

Anonymous
Would love to hear experiences of parents with multiples re: acceptance into area private schools for K. How common is it given that there are so few spaces and that it is hard enough to snag one spot, let alone more than one? Has anyone actually had split decisions by admissions committees? Can people share their challenges as well as successes with the process and outcome? Thanks in advance.

I have friends with boy/girl twins who received split acceptances a couple of times.

Any one with experience with same sex twins? We have girl/girl twins and are especially worried since it seems like a lot of the schools we are interested in have more girls applicants.

Just curious -- what are the schools that have more girl applicants, and how have you been able to obtain that information?

10:16 here. We are just looking at Montessori schools (i.e., preschool not K like the OP) and have heard from several familes who applied in recent prior years that there are always more girls than boys. I do not know if that holds true for other types of schools.
