| Any consideration to a history forum? It could be very educational. For example, I wanted to discuss FDR's policies as well as Joe Kennedy Sr., and somehow politics doesn't fit. Thoughts? |
| While it is not the perfect forum for it, right now Politics would be best. I wouldn't want to create a forum until I saw that there was lots of interest. |
| For what it's worth, I would LOVE this. |
| So would I!!! |
| Me too! |
| I'd like a weight loss forum, tech forum or cars forum before a history forum. |
| Jeez. Totally unnecessary. Like having a cream pie forum. |
| I would be concerned about the certain element that will use the forum to espouse lies such as the Holocaust was fake news, the Civil War was not about slavery, and other untrue tidbits I've read in the Political Forum and Off Topics, among others, where proponents of lies will debate those ad nauseum for pages. |
| I agree. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Unfortunately, a lot of revision is going on. |
WHat is wrong with a cream pie forum? I find them gross. Just bake a delicious cream cake! |
Fair point. I once was sitting on a plane and this woman explained to me for the entire plane ride that the Holocaust was a hoax. Thank goodness for noise blocking headphones. This didn't stop her and she kept on talking and trying to catch my attention. Longest three hours of my life. |
Sounds like your average DCUM user. |
Ha! I agree, though it might be useful for falling asleep. |
Ha! I was just googling 10 minutes ago looking for a pie subscription kind of deal so I could send my dad a banana cream pie every month. Couldn't fine one! |
| Cream pie forum = food forum and now I want a cream pie. |
