Doctors say the injury occurred "weeks" before the April 16 injury. His trial was March 16. Thus there was not much time of any, after the "trial" to act. |
Eye roll? You win the f'in prick of the day award here. |
I don't understand what you mean by "angelic". Did he forgive the people in North Korean who hurt his son? |
I don't want the US government to risk other people's lives to rescue people who make foolish decisions. |
People are human and make foolish decisions. We still endeavor to rescue them. |
*April 16 imagery (that they got from the NORKs) |
Quite the contrary. This man went out of his way NOT to politicize it. When asked if the Obama administration could have done more, his answer was simply “The results speak for themselves.” He was asked questions about what our government did or didn’t do. He answered those questions honestly and as “apolitical” as he could. He didn’t lie. This family was told to “lay low” for several months. Meanwhile, they made repeated trips to DC to talk with lawmakers, ambassadors, anyone who would listen and to no avail. They never met with Obama. Not sure they ever spoke with him. When Trump came to office, Tillerson took this case on right away. He enlisted the assistance of the Swedes and State Department Special Representative Joseph Yun. This is the man that negotiated, with N Korea, for his release. I wouldn’t blame the parents one little bit for being angry that their so-called “strategic patience” was wasted energy, but he didn’t come across as angry at all. He was thankful for the time he was able to spend with his son. |
Please note: Trump didn't risk anyone's life. Obama ignored the whole thing. |
It's all in the eyes of the beholder, PP. If you don't see it, what can I say? Have you taken the time to find and view the actual clip of Otto's father speaking to the press the morning just before the afternoon medical press conference? It speaks volumes to the greatness of human character under duress. |
Verbal negotiations? Not with the lunatics in charge of North Korea. |
+1 |
NP Keep up that mentality |
Get over it |
Trump has nothing to do with his release , he was a vegetable and they just didn't want him to take his last breath in their country |
| Looks like the family decided to stop giving him water? |
