And that's why he turned off the teacher's projector? And that gadget he 'made' while doing it? Sold on the web - was it his, or did he just take the casing off like he did the clock?

OK so he turned off a teacher's projector, and he blew soap bubbles in a bathroom. A bad seed if I ever saw one!

Right, but if some kid in a snowflake's class in, say, Arlington or McLean was turning off a projector, folks would be sanctimoniously invoking the rules.

Uh, no. Turning off a projector would not make me put him on a Junior Jihadi watch list. Or even get suspended. That sounds like a run of the mill trip to the principal's office.

Not sure what "Uh, no" means here. A trip to the principals office would be done pursuant to a rule, genius.

51 percent of U.S. Muslims prefer Shariah

There are now an estimated 3 million Muslims residing in the United States as citizens or with permanent legal status, and more than 250,000 new Muslim residents enter the U.S. per year as refugees, on work visas and student-based visas, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

A poll commissioned in May 2015 by the Center for Security Policy showed that 51 percent of American Muslims preferred that they should have their own Shariah courts outside of the legal system ruled by the U.S. Constitution. And nearly a quarter believed the use of violent jihad was justified in establishing Shariah.

"That would translate into roughly 300,000 Muslims living in the United States who believe that Shariah is 'The Muslim God Allah's law that Muslims must follow and impose worldwide by Jihad,'" writes Frank Gaffney Jr., president of the Center for Security Policy.

Center for Security Policy:

"The Center for Security Policy (CSP) is a self-described national security think tank based in Washington, DC that has been widely accused of engaging in conspiracy theorizing by a range of individuals, media outlets and organizations. Its activities are focused on what it claims is a secret, global campaign to destroy western civilization."

hmm...It doesn't seem to be the most credible source. Although I didn't even really have to look that up once you mentioned 50% of U.S muslims are for shariah law, and 1/4 support violent jihad

Better than to make a clock for an engineering class? What should he have made, muffins?

NP. Should have known better than to expect anything sane from racist goobers in Texas.

Actually I live in Texas now and saw way more racism when I lived in DC. Have you ever been to Texas?

I can speak for Dallas and Houston. Terribly racist there.

It's all relative people always see "home" as perfect and everywhere else as jacked up so let's not get into a senseless debate about which state/city is more racist than that another.

Frank Gaffney is an Islamophobic nut job who is now embracing the American Renaissance ideology that whites are superior to other races.

I wonder how many "Christians" think this country should be an explicitly Christian nation. I'm guessing WAY more than 50%.

He was publicly mistreated, and the family had to move to Qatar for security reasons - they didn't feel safe here. They also mention in the lawsuit that Ahmed was publicly humiliated by the Halloween costume called "clock boy" that was being sold.

Oh, please. He got the attention because he SOUGHT the attention.
They moved because they wanted to move.
This is such BS.
He benefited from the whole thing more than was “traumatized” by it.

The costume is not the school's fault. Welcome to America and mass-marketing.

They moved because he was offered a scholarship to a tony private school over there. Bet his daughter and mom are thrilled about their newfound feminist freedom there.

BS. He got public praise from the President and a trip to the White House out of it. For a project that was apparently a cut and paste from Radio Shack.
