| Well ya but how many pride girls are committed? |
Seems to illustrate PP's point. YJ recruiting is doing a heck of a job!! |
I didn't know ODU had women's lacrosse. How are they? What conference? D 1 ? |
is the recruiting director Hoeg? |
D1 and they are lower level D1. 4-13 last year beating Elon, MSM, Radford, and Longwood. |
It’s Corky Stertevant. She’s been excellent since stepping in 2 years ago. Used to be assistant at West Springfield and has a daughter playing at Deleware. Knows the process and really focuses in on players strengths and weaknesses and guides them through the journey. |
| Hoeg is the club director and Coach of 25’s. |
ODU plays in the AAC. They are not a strong team, ranked 93 RPI. Several wins came against teams ranked 100+ RPI. I watched a fall ball game this past week where a highly ranked team played mostly freshman against mostly upperclassman and beat a team ranked close to ODU. The outcome was a whole lot to very little. Huge difference in talent level and speed. |
| 4.2% of female HS lax players go on to play at a D1 school. Playing at this level requires hard work, talent and dedication. Congratulations to EVERY player who plays at the next level!!! |
| Cap Blue 25 to Cincinnati |
Congrats to all that have the opportunity to play at the next level. There truly is a place for all those who want to play in college. There are just over 120 D1 wlax programs. The level of play varies greatly from top to bottom, offering opportunities for many. I’d say the programs can be grouped by tiers. Tier 1: 1-30; Tier 2: 31-60; Tier 3: 61-90; and Tier 4: 91+. Even within Tier 1 there is a big discrepancy between the Top 10 and 11-30. The level of athleticism, speed, and skill varies greatly as you move up in tiers. Top 20 D2 and D3 programs will usually beat tier 4 teams. Sometimes tier 3. So, players have many options at these levels as well. |
Just to be clear - Corky’s own daughter played for Capital. Corky also coached Stars for several years. She’s at YJMA now because she wanted greater influence and pay (understandable) but don’t think for a minute she’d have wanted her kid in that program. |
| Congrats to her. Maybe Pride should hire her and give her even more pay to turn their recruiting around… |
Who would want to work for Pride and risk getting felony charges leveled against them? |
|
Any more Cap B commits? I think 1 goalie and 1 attack are left.
I hear Cap O will have a few more after this weekend- Several waiting for NESCAC cycle Any others @ Pride? |
