| Does anyone have any feedback on this school? Thanks!! |
|
After reading some of the posts on this forum, really do you want the kind of snarky feedback from these posters?
It is a Quaker school, a real Quaker school, go check it out, meet with the admissions people, talk to families who send their child there. I really don't know anything about Sandy Spring Friends School. I went to a Quaker boarding school outside of Philly. I loved it, it was a really good education. My mom's family was Quaker and that is why I was sent to a Quaker school. But if you are interested in a Quaker education, don't spend time reading comments on dcurban mom board in this category. |
| Just spoke with friends - uh, my friends, not Quakers- with a DD that just finished her first year in the middle school at Sandy Spring. She's always been a good student, and an energetic kid. So far, they're happy. It's a long commute from the northern edge of DC. |

I attended Sandy Spring Friends School many years ago -so I can't honestly comment on how things are now. I received an incredible education at Sandy Spring and went on to attend a great liberal arts college. This school is not for families that insist on a high-octane-only-get-into-an-Ivy-education.
Go visit the school, talk to other parents and decide for yourself. |
| The campus is wonderful -- very nature-oriented. Don't know anything beyond that because my DC was just there for camp. |
