is it worth it to get nursing tops?

Anonymous
I am 35 weeks and planning to pack my hospital bag. I have a set of nursing pjs (top and bottom) but wonder if I need some nursing tops to have when guests are visiting us in the hospital. If so, what do you recommend? and where should i get it? thanks

I don't think you'll need them at the hospital since most people where the hospital gown or their own pjs the whole time at the hospital. Once you get home, I found them super useful for discreet nursing when we were out in public. Check out motherwear for some basics and expressiva for some cuter tops. Some people also love the nursing tanks by glamourmom.

In the beginning nursing can be very awkward (it was for me - and painful); I delivered two weeks ago yesterday. I would recommend getting a "Hooter Hider" http://www.bebeaulait.com/ they sell these at Buy Buy Baby as well as online. I would also recommend getting a couple of nursing tops for afterwards. I wore the tight maternity tops and post pregnancy I didn't want to wear a top that was tight around my belly showing my post baby belly; not attractive. I ordered some tops from Baby Center and LOVE them, they are stylish and are a breeze when nursing and help hide my belly. Here's a link and some coupon codes: http://store.babycenter.com/category/breastfeeding/nursing+clothing.do spend $100 save $10, spend $200 save $30, spend $300 save $60 - this coupon is good for any purchases at www.babycenterstore.com Coupon Code: SHOP689285

Best wishes
