I drank several times before I knew I was pregnant

Never more than a couple drinks at a time, and only a handful of times, but still.

I've been there, a ton of people on this board have been there (there have been a lot of threads on this topic) and it's fine. You aren't sharing blood with the baby for quite a while in the beginning and in early early pregnancy, alcohol will typically cause an outright miscarriage, not birth defects.

If you found out you were pregnant by 6 weeks, you were not sharing blood with the baby and the only downside that some studies show is a very, very, very small increased risk of miscarriage (which usually happens pre-6 weeks; the theory is that it effects implantation somehow).

I was drunk at a wine festival and a wedding the week and day before I found out. DC is 16 months.

I was in Las Vegas for 5 days, and I drank like I was in Vegas. Came back and found out I was pregnant 2 days later.

My DD is now 1 y/o and in perfect health.

Me: So I had a few drinks before I knew I was pregnant

OB: Yeah, you and every woman ever.

100% fine. Not even sharing bloodstream. This is posted all the time, we all did it, and babies are fine.

I've been there OP, I drank pretty heavy well into a pregnancy that I didn't know about. After I found out I was pregnant, I stressed continuously about it. DS is 7 now and is a normal, bright, super easy kid.

You know now, don't drink anymore, you can't do anything about the drinks you already consumed, so don't stress. Stressing about it will just hurt you and possibly your baby.

Same only it was Mexico for me. I also ate a lot and joked about my food baby when I got back...except it was an actual baby.

DD is 6 now and had no issues. My OB wasn't concerned in the slightest.

I rarely drink but got very drunk about a week before I found out I was pregnant with both of my kids, they are perfectly healthy.

You're fine. My cousin got black out drunk on tequila at like 7 weeks before she found out she was pregnant, baby is a-ok.

Not advising that of course just saying, I would say more women are in this situation than not in the US when they get that positive test.

I delayed testing on my current pregnancy a couple days so I could enjoy wine guilt free over the holidays lol.
