National Anthem on the tv at midnight why and when did it stop? I think it needs to come back. /

It wasn't midnight - it was at sign off, which could be midnight, but could be later. Channels don't really go,dark any more, so no more need for the sign off.

Maybe you should do some research. There is a prominent broadcast company that owns thousands of stations, is about to buy a major newspaper conglomerate and is considered pretty conservative.

I was thinking the same thing! And not only the news media but also the airwaves. Clear channel is pretty widespread and they are known to be conservative as well Liberals own media, another conservative conspiracy

No. It's not. Television channels no longer sign off at night. The National Anthem was played when the station was finished broadcasting for the night. When on earth would you expect them to play it now that they broadcast 24 hours?
