| Our last name starts with a C. Our favorite first and middle names both start with a C as well (though one has the K sound and the other has the S sound). Is that too much of one letter. Does it matter as long as we think the full name sounds nice together? Am I just overthinking this? |
|
OP again. So for example:
Caitlin Celia Clarke Caroline Cynthia Campbell These are not the names, just examples. |
| As long as it isn't K, I think you're fine! |
|
CCC stands for the Civilian Conservation Corp, one of the work/infrastructure programs of the New Deal.
So, you might avoid the initials if you are Republican, but enjoy the association as a Democrat. |
| My daughter's initials are SSS -- she loves having the three same initials, and has a nickname associated with it. |
| My initials are CCC! I've always thought it was cool. Don't over think it! In your case it's probably better because you have a soft C in there. Mine are all hard Cs, and even then it isn't strange. |
|
My daughter is CCC.
She loves it! they each have a different "C" sound: C, S, Ch |
| I think "C" is one of the few letters where it works without sounding weird since you can mix the hard and soft Cs. My last name is an "L" and we ruled out any L names (first or middle) because it quickly starts to sound like a tongue twister! |
| OP here. Thanks! I think we're going to go for it! |
|
99% of the time she will be known as Firstname Lastname, so make sure those flow well. If they have the same beginning sound it can come across as a comic book superhero. Not necessarily a bad thing but some people don't like it.
|
| My friend has a daughter with CCC initials. No one thinks anything of it. |
|
The only association I have with the letters CCC are speech therapists who are still in their first year out of grad school. Hardly a bad association!
I agree that it works better with 2 or 3 different sounds for the C. Charlotte Claire Collins Clara Celeste Chase etc . . . are fine. |
| I think it's fine OP. |
| It is okay - if it is not KKK. |
| Go for it esp if they have different sounds |
