Bruce Monroe - thoughts?

Are there any current Bruce Monroe families out there that can give me some insight into the school? I have a rising kindergartener (English dominant) so would love to hear pros and cons. Thank you!

were you at the school for preschool? Our kid is PK3 now and having an awesome year. The class is PK3/PK4 mixed and I think almost all the PK4ers in the class will be around for K. Although I do know a lot played lottery. I think the school is getting better at fund raising and attracting more families in the neighborhood but yes the test scores are still troubling. Definitely take a tour. I have found the admins very receptive to meeting with families, giving tours etc.

The upcoming school year would be our first year. Thank you so much for this info - super helpful and will definitely take a tour. How is the Spanish instruction?

PP here. I think it's good. In PK they alternate days-English/Spanish. On the Spanish days it really is 100% Spanish so it's not really instruction but learning through immersion.

OP I'm curious. Are you IB for the school? I have wondered what it would take to bring back some of our IB families back in K?

OP Here - we are not in OOB but I've seen some movement in the wait list (we are #14) so just thought I'd do some info-gathering in the off chance we even got off the wait list. We really have prioritized language immersion which was why BM was on our list.

Just realized my awful English in the prior post. I meant to say we are OOB. Thanks!
