Anyone ever been to Sea Island, Georgia?

We are thinking of going the last week of March for Spring Break. Our kids will be 3 and 5. I called about rates yesterday and rooms at the Beach Club are $700 a night which seems astronomical. Food is not included.

Is it worth it?

I'll be interested to hear responses, too. I have such fond memories of going there during the 60s when I was a child, and then I returned once in the 70s and once in the 90s. I know they underwent a huge renovation a few years ago - hence the hefty price tag. I am curious if it is worth it, as well!

It is beautiful, but very quiet. With kids that age, I would personally choose Hilton Head instead. It has lots of activities.
