| ...that are not too expensive and not easy to kill. Any ideas? Thanks! |

look on "fast growing trees" website. I have bought lavender and some forsythia from them. they note your location so you don't accidentally buy something that won't thrive in the climate you live in.
And their plants arrive in good condition, well packed and easy to plant. |
| Leather leaf viburnum |
| Azaleas are pretty hard to kill around here. |
| Burning bush is pretty in the fall. |
| I like hydrangeas. Mountain laurel is a good border shrub. |
| abelia; smells great too. |
It is pretty in Fall, but it is poisonous to pets and kids who may eat the berries, and pretty much a poster child for invasive species. |

What are conditions? What height?
Skip laurel aren't hugely expensive, grow well in sun, are evergreen, thick (if you're hoping to hide views) and don't require much care once established. (We put some in about 5 years ago and they're over 8 feet tall now) |
| cherry laurels are evergreen and easy to grow around here |
| If it's shady, I've had really good luck with Aucubas. |
