| (I'm the OP) my son has DS and now doc believes he see signs of autism. I'm thinking that having his services for an entire summer would be better also. But the school suggested the ESY. I'm afraid to decline because the camp is not educational. |

| My DC hasn't done ESY in DC, but ESY is about preventing loss of skills, not moving forward or learning more. So the camp may be fine. |

| We do both. The bus takes DS from ESY to the Therapeutic Camp location in the afternoons for the weeks ESY is in session. The other weeks he does the camp full time. |
