Anyone go there? How is the program for 3 year olds? How did your child like it? Feedback needed! |
I took a tour last year and seriously considered - but did not apply for the lottery as I did not want to move my child 3 times in 4 years. (entering 2 YO program, possibly 3 YO for Bridges and K somewhere else).
I really liked what I saw and if you have a space I would take it. |
I have spoken to 2 parents who loved the program.
I never applied because (1) I wanted to enter my 4 yo in DCPS preK and didn't want to change schools that often and (2) I was not crazy about the neighborhood and outdoor facilties. Those caveats aside, I've wondered since why I paid for expensive 3 yo preschool when a good option like Bridges might have been available if I were lucky in lottery. |
i know two sets of parents who loved bridges. |
I love Bridges. At first the lack of play facilities bothered me, but they walk every day to one of several neighborhood playgrounds, or else the playground at a local health school. As it turns out, they're going to better play facilities than most Pre-S/Pre-K programs have anyway so it's actually a bonus. Plus they've all learned excellent street habits about safe walking, safe crossing, etc.
The "downside" of Bridges is that the word seems to be getting out. In previous years everybody got in off the waitlist but apparently it's getting more popular and harder to get into. |
I love bridges pcs my daughter learned a lot from them.At first she didn't play with any kids even at home.Know she play with her brother ,sister, cousins and ect.
The teachers and staff are wounderfull. They let u know what they learned knew about ur child and whats the next step there going to work on .........its better than any of the other school my daugter attended.a lot of people talk a bout the play facility. I think its not so bad as they go out they still learn a lot of things.........if any 1 have a probleme with them taken them to a play facility off of bridges campus lets raise some money to get them a play ground for the children on the school grounds........................ support the school |
I've heard nothing but good things about it. My friend's kids loved it. |
