I am deciding if I should put my 2 year old in a preschool program. I am not sure it is necessary. Does a 2 year old really 'need' preschool? Why or why not? Thanks. |
No - they don't need it.
With that said, we have our son in preschool because mommy needs a break in the morning. He enjoys it and they keep him busy and I can use the time to clean house, run errands and get dinner. It refreshes me! |
No, but a regular playgroup or something like Intown, Music Together, or Jonah's Treeshouse can be really great for them. |
No. |
Need? Probably not, unless there are delays and it's a therapeutic program. Benefit from? Depends on the two year old. Mine got a lot out of his 2-year-old program; he was a kid who craved novelty and stimulation, and I needed some downtime, even if it was short. |
No, they don't need it. But my 2.5 year old gets a lot out of his program. If he weren't something now, I would have started seriously looking. |
I agree. "Need" is not necessarily true, but it a wonderful outlet for your child. You should start looking and finding a good program for you. |
