I am having a fruity cocktail as I share that I am tired and so over this school year. Teachers seem burned out too and admin. Life is easier for us over the summer because DC isn't so stressed out with all the demands of school. It seems like everyone around me is running on empty.
Wishing everyone some good quality sleep, rest and relaxation this weekend if possible! I raise my glass to you and say "cheers." We can do this! |
| I'm there. Although I'm not a big drinker anymore, so I just eat. I'm thinking about making cake. I'll send you a virtual piece. I'm so ready for school to be done. |
| About to get my glass of wine right now. Cheers! |

Love the idea. Am still at work, having an extra coffee to help coping with the next hours, but dreaming of my glass of wine later on.
Cheers to you all! |

I'm in!
Cheers. |
Hi friends
|
| I'm so, so tired. I've been sick with some kind of weird virus. I pick up my kid to go to a therapy appt far from where we live (because they take insurance). I brought him a snack of chocolate cookies in the car. I turn around midway through the ride and see that instead of eating the cookies, which are his favorite, he has smeared the chocolate ALL over his face. Completely covered, including embedded in his eyebrows. He is almost 8. I am so sick of doing all these therapies and investigating every possible resource and then see him act like a three year old. I would toast you but my stomach is topsy-turvy. |
| I wish there was a live chat function. Salud! |
| Bottoms up, friends. |

So burned out. Started out my week by losing out on a terrific career opportunity, then had DS2 s behavior intervention mtg at school yesterday. DH is barely upright since DS1 didn't get to sleep until after 1am. Tonight is frozen pizza all around and wine for me.

(burp) excuse me! Drinking sparkling wine always makes me burp!
My DS hasn't had his cell phone for months, hasn't played a video game for even longer because I can't get him to do his class work. His teachers and I are all on the same page. It's DS who won't step up. Because he's older, we need his buy in. The good news is that he HAS brought his grades up so that he's only got 1 D and no Fs. The bad news is that I don't know if he's going to be able to bring that D up. If he doesn't, no cell phone/no video games over the summer. I'm prepared to do that but, ugh, what a pain the in the fucking ass. And, he's going into HS and I can't see that things will be any different. I guess my next step is to join in after school in the study sessions. I need a refill..... |
| Still ten school days until HS graduation. Having some wine. |
| 18:06 here. Leaving work now and going home to my glass of wine. I'm not a SN parent, but I really need a happy hour! I'm sure you don't mind... |
The more the merrier. |
| I am just catching up to you all. What a week. Slainte! |
