I need some kind of personal stylist/wardrobe consultant - any recs?

I would rather have an independent person than someone who is working on commission (Trunk Club, etc). Does anyone have a particular recommendation of a person in DC/NOVA who would be a good fit for me? I am 32 with 2 kids, and want a wardrobe that I can transition between work and home - I own a business, work weird hours and often do run between kid stuff and work stuff during the day. Kind of like an upscale casual, maybe not quite business casual. Would like weekend options too that are even more kid friendly, but still polished. I would say that my style is preppy and classic. Not trendy.
I have a closet overflowing (and i do mean overflowing) with clothes, but nothing looks good on me. The up and down with my most recent pregnancy has left me at my lowest adult weight, but with a very different body shape. Literally nothing fits right and I don't know how to dress the body I have.. I feel like I just need to start over. Would like to devote 2-3k to this right now, but I could be persuaded to spend more. I still have a few pounds I'd ideally like to lose and just want to make sure that is not going to happen before I drop 10k on clothes. However, I need some stuff to wear in the meantime, like basics. Any recommendations would be appreciated, thank you! |
