Better figure in menopause

Funny thing. My face is more wrinkly but my figure is getting better. I was always shapeless and skinny. Now, as I gain weight, I'm getting more shapely.
That said, it's not worth all the other negatives...

Well, you are lucky. I can not say that this process is doing as much for me...

A lot of it is diet and exercise though. I'm doing better but need to do more.

My mother got a better figure in menopause too, but from the other direction. She was never a small woman, but she was able to lose some weight and become better fit. When she died of cancer, she was skin and bones, but her BMI still indicated her to be "overweight". At 81, when she had a bone scan they said she had the bones of a 20 year old. Heavier bones, require more muscles. My father was the same way- his BMI was always in the "overweight" category, but he was a fit man and was skinny from cancer too when he died.

I seem to be going the same way. Now that I have just entered menopause, I am able to lose weight easier. Like my mother, I doubt my BMI will ever be out of the "overweight" zone, but I look better and have lost a size or two.
